Hi, I’m Vardhan
This is my little corner of the internet.
I make software, chase research, write things, and occasionally throw plastic discs at high speeds in the name of sport. Hum yaha fun karne aaye hai.
Wanna know more about me?
Right now, I’m building StoneForge Research - which is my attempt at doing slightly insane deep-tech in civil engineering. We’re working on non-destructive seepage detection in dams and large concrete structures using wave-based sensing (basically: yelling physics at concrete and listening carefully). The goal? Map hidden water pathways in 3D space before they turn into “why is this dam leaking?” headlines. It’s hardware, signal processing, field testing, government meetings, and a healthy dose of “we have no idea what will break next.” Exactly how I like it.
College is officially over, which is still a slightly strange sentence to write. After four years at BITS Pilani Hyderabad, a stretch at UC Berkeley, too much frisbee, too many late-night conversations, and a healthy amount of campus chaos, I’ve now moved to Bangalore to work on StoneForge full-time. I always knew I was going to build a startup. The only real question was what kind of problem felt worth obsessing over. StoneForge seems to have answered that question pretty aggressively. We recently got funded, which is exciting, terrifying, and very useful for buying things that startups apparently need. My co-founder Swayam and I are now working very hard to build what is essentially X-ray vision for engineers - using technology to see inside infrastructure without breaking it open like cavemen with better tools. College ending was sad in a way I don’t think I fully processed while it was happening. I’ll miss the people, the chaos, the Maggi, and the weird little bubble of campus life. I now occasionally tear up at Instagram reels of old friends meeting after years and hugging it out, that kinds of friendship is rare, and college gave me a lot of it. But the next chapter has started, and we move ahead.
