Now

Inspired by Derek Sivers’ /now page. I’m keeping all my life updates here. Every time I make a change, I’ll preserve the history instead of overwriting it (old updates got cooked, I realized this too late) — so this becomes a running log of what I’ve been working on and where my energy has been.

Feb 26, 2026
  • Yes, I know. It’s been two months. I usually update this once a month. Life has been... mildly chaotic. Imagine juggling bowling pins, but the pins are companies, research papers, friendships, and existential questions.
  • Back from the US. Back from UC Berkeley. Back on BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus. Back to humidity, Maggi, and people randomly knocking on my door. It feels good.
  • Last semester mode: ACTIVATED. Playing a ridiculous amount of frisbee. Also table tennis. Also badminton. Also whatever sport is happening near me. Basically if it involves friends and mild competition, I’m there. Trying to soak up as much time with my people as possible.
  • Thesis work from Berkeley: currently on pause. I want to get back to it properly - it deserves better than “I’ll do it tomorrow.”
  • The Unofficial College Playbook: The publishers were moving at geological time scale. I told them if we’re doing this, we’re doing it properly. So we paused that route. Might take a different path.
  • ArnoAI: Shut down. Hard decision. Competitive space, and as Peter Thiel says, “competition is for losers.” It was painful to end it - but it was the right call.
  • StoneForge Research: New chapter. Deep-tech in civil engineering. Wave-based sensing. Non-destructive seepage detection. Government meetings. Delhi head offices. Getting “invited” to an invite-only dam safety conference (long story). Feels big. Feels ambitious. Feels like we might actually be onto something meaningful.
  • Slowcialize: Not working on it anymore. Probably retiring it permanently.
  • Steel conference paper: Submission in two days. Progress is… not ideal. My teammate’s been busy. I’ve been busy. I’ll try to push hard for the next 48–72 hours and see if we can salvage it.
  • Fitness & Sports: Gym has been amazing. Switched to 3 days of full-body workouts (see updated plan). Sessions are shorter (~45 mins) because frisbee practice has ramped up like crazy, we’re training almost daily for NCUC (national college championships). Strength is up. Hit 8 clean overhand pull-ups last week for the first time. Made me smile, contentment wali smile.
  • Physique & health: Balancing heavy frisbee load with gym carefully. Recovery matters. Eating matters. Sleep… sometimes matters.
  • Social life: Peak. Back on campus. Meeting juniors. Giving advice (wanna give back before I leave). Spending time with batchmates. There are a few people I genuinely love being around, trying to maximize time with them before this phase ends.
  • GMAT prep: Not great. Honestly pretty poor. I don’t think I’ll get a crazy score right now — and I’m okay with that. I’d rather build things than memorize sentence correction rules at this moment in life.
  • Home responsibilities: Had a few commitments to handle, which slowed down deep work. Life isn’t a clean productivity spreadsheet.
  • Overall: Slight chaos. High energy. Lots of sport. Big bets with StoneForge. Trying to enjoy the moment while also quietly building the future.
Dec 22, 2025
  • Just finished a small road trip across California — north to south. Started in Berkeley, ended in Vegas. Beautiful places, great memories. Loved it.
  • My thesis is done and submitted. I’m really proud of the work — I managed to do something meaningful and genuinely useful.
  • The Unofficial College Playbook is currently under review by a publishing company. Feeling excited and cautiously optimistic.
  • ArnoAI: Still deep in pre-seed pitches. The MVP is doing well — we’ve added a lot of features and have started reaching out to customers. This is fully firing on all cylinders.
  • Slowcialize: Still paused.
  • Soil mech software: Considering delegating this to a junior — I don’t see myself having enough time to meaningfully work on it.
  • Steel conference abstracts were accepted. Unfortunately couldn’t follow through on one paper since the Dec 31 deadline was too tight.
  • Fitness & Sports: Gym has been amazing. Frisbee season just ended with the college season. Got a really meaningful frisbee signed by teammates from both teams I played for — that meant a lot.
  • Physique & health: Strength has gone up a lot. Still not gaining as much weight as I’d like (burning a ton despite eating well), but I’m really happy with how I look and feel right now.
  • Cooking: Officially done for now. Leaving Berkeley in a couple of days, so no more cooking for the foreseeable future. Huge respect for people who do it consistently.
  • Social life: Naturally winding down with civil classmates and frisbee friends as I wrap things up here. I’ve been spending my time doing things I truly care about.
  • YouTube videos: Still postponed — likely next year.
  • ERP software for my dad still needs to be completed. I’ll take care of it sometime soon.
  • GMAT: Planning to pick it back up in late December.
  • Haas project work is wrapped up. I’ll continue to maintain things as needed, but my active involvement is done.
  • ArnoAI is the focus going forward. That’s where my energy is going.
Nov 13, 2025
  • I’m almost done with my thesis. Submission is in the first week of December, and I should be able to finish it comfortably by then.
  • The Unofficial College Playbook is still on the back burner. Will try to grow its reach slowly.
  • ArnoAI: We got AWS credits. Currently in the middle of raising our pre-seed — exciting but hectic. Fully committed to making this work.
  • Slowcialize: Paused for now. I’ll pick it up again next year when I have the bandwidth.
  • SoilMech software: Will happen much later. Parking it for the foreseeable future.
  • All abstracts got accepted — into a major international conference. Really happy about this.
  • Fitness & Sports: Gym has been great, but frisbee has eaten a lot of my gains. Played a tournament recently and burned ~5,000–6,000 (over maintenance) calories in two days. Haven’t been eating enough because of how busy things have been, so my weight is back to where it was a couple months ago. Still loving frisbee.
  • I’m cooking regularly — mostly batch meals to save time.
  • Social life: close with civil engineering classmates and frisbee friends. Still not going out partying; I prefer workouts, play, work, and just doing life.
  • YouTube videos postponed — likely next year.
  • ERP software for my dad is basically done; final polishing will probably happen in January.
  • GMAT studying slowed down a bit since the last few weeks have been hectic.
  • Haas project work is going well.
  • Realization: ArnoAI has to work — and I’m fully committed to that.
Oct 2, 2025
  • The outline for my thesis is done. The work is going well — some challenges have come up, but I’ll deal with them.
  • The Unofficial College Playbook is on the back burner. Still slowly trying to grow its reach.
  • ArnoAI: We got AWS credits (expecting more). Targeting October 14th for platform launch.
  • Slowcialize: Been on the backburner the last month. Hoping to get back to it in ~2 weeks.
  • Soil mech software: Backburner for the next few months.
  • Submitted abstracts for 3 steel papers. Some exciting conferences next semester.
  • Fitness & Sports: Gym has been amazing. I joined the UC Berkeley Ultimate team. Playing frisbee Tue–Fri, lifting Fri–Mon (yes, double sessions on Friday). Hip flexor feels strained, so hoping the 3 days of break from frisbee fixes it. Loving the gains and frisbee both.
  • I still cook, but I’ve shifted more into batching meals.
  • Social life: closer with civil classmates and frisbee folks. Haven’t been out with the Indian group recently since I’ve realized heavy partying isn’t for me. I prefer workouts, play, work, and “just doing life.”
  • YouTube videos postponed — maybe next year.
  • ERP software for my dad is nearly complete, just final tweaks left.
  • GMAT studying ramped up to 1.5 hours/day. Pushing hard.
  • Haas project work is going well.
  • Realization: ArnoAI has to work — and I’m committed to that.
9 Sept, 2025
  • Well into my thesis at UC Berkeley, collaborating with a South Korean team. Doing theoretical calculations and running simulations.
  • Still figuring out publishing for The Unofficial College Playbook.
  • Building ArnoAI — our legal AI platform is almost ready for launch.
  • Working on Slowcialize — refining the app, nearly ready for launch.
  • Soil mech software is on the back burner.
  • Training regularly: strength, calisthenics, and swimming. Slight left elbow injury, taking it slow.
  • Writing a research paper for an upcoming steel structures conference.
  • Cooking a lot, enjoying it.
  • Made many friends: pickup frisbee, UCB team, civil classes, apartments, Indian student group. Lots of socializing, sports, and parties (plus work).
  • Want to make YouTube videos, but no time.
  • Building ERP-esque software for my dad.
  • Studying for the GMAT.
  • Working on a project for the Haas School of Business.
