…but the movie just got good
Date: 8th December 2025
Whenever something goes wrong in my life, let me be clear. My first thought is not poetic. My first thought is: oh shit. Sometimes followed by panic, confusion, and a brief internal rant about how this was absolutely not part of the plan. Only later, after the dust settles, the emotions cool down, and I stop catastrophizing, does the second thought arrive. Ah. The movie just got good.
And yes, I know I’m not the main character of some beautifully written arthouse film. I’m probably not even the lead in a mid-budget Netflix drama. But it’s still weirdly comforting to imagine the background music kicking in, the dramatic zoom-in on my face, and that quiet moment where things go bad enough that the story actually matters.
Thinking about life this way doesn’t solve the problem. Unfortunately, I still have to do the work. It just keeps me from rage-quitting the story halfway through. This isn’t the end credits. This is Act II. And leaving now would mean missing the only part anyone actually wants to watch.
What makes winning inevitable?
Date: 21st August 2025
I’ve been thinking about what makes winning inevitable. Winning in life, or just in general. If I had to design a good life, here’s what I think it would include.
- Family: There isn’t much to overthink. Talk to them every day, keep the conversations simple, no pressure.
- Friends: It gets tougher as you get older. A regular shared activity keeps you connected, and it’s important to cut toxic people out.
- Health: Comes down to the basics - play, workouts with both cardio and resistance training, eating well, and sleeping enough.
- Work: The biggest part of my life. If I can focus each day on things that matter to me, while also learning and planning for the future, I’ll be in a good place.
- Play: Just as important as everything else. Making time to play every day keeps life balanced.
If I can stick to this on 80% of the days, I think I’ll be in a good spot.
What makes for a quality support email response

Today I was setting up the app for Slowcialize in the App Store. And I had to talk to the dev support about something. And the reply I got was beautifully written. Here are the things that stood out.
- It has a very warm and human tone. I loved that. Small thank yous and acknowledgement of the effort I put in to help them out. Didn’t seem like they were "forced" to help me out.
- A very efficient clear and structured response. (Confirmation of action, privacy assurance (they went the extra mile for me), a task given to me in an encouraging manner and written as something that would help me in the long term, status update and then some future guidance based on anticipated needs.)
- The proactiveness really stood out to me. There was ownership and that really stood out to me. Felt like we were on the same team.
- It wasn’t fluffy, it was efficient to the point but it was also kind.
This was masterfully done. Loved the email.
